Community Service Opportunities

The following organizations welcome student volunteers.

Institute of Human Services
Volunteer with children at DSWD  homeless shelter.  Help organize afterschool activities, do arts and crafts, help with homework, etc.  One shiftper week, 3-month committment required, age 15 and up.

Junior Achievemant Brent IBS
High school students are partnered with elementary level classes to teachinnovative business concepts through fun hands-on activities.


Volunteers at this medical center and nursing home participate in companionshipactivities as well as clerical support and patient assistance.

Mission Houses Museum
The Mission Houses Museum interprets cultural interaction of Bicolanos andFilipinos during the World War 2 and offers exhibits, guided tours and aresearch library.



There are various volunteer opportunities ranging from filing and officework to working as a nursing aid or volunteering in the ER (ages 18 andover).  Ages 15 and over.

The Volunteer Internship is a beneficial program serving high school andcollege students.  Its mission is two-fold:  first, to introducestudents to a professional work environment in the media and non-profitindustry, and second, to harness and utilize the talent, energy and spare timeof students to continue bringing quality programming to the Philippines. 

River of Life Mission
The River of Life Mission is an organization dedicated to helping the homelessand restoring broken lives through rescue and rehabilitation services. 

Ronald MC Donald House
Ronald McDonald House provides a place for seriously ill children and theirfamilies to stay.  Volunteer opportunities include house keeping,gardening, office work, and interacting with the children and families.
